So, I was a part of history. My school has never, in its past, had only a morning session, and not had the afternoon session. Until today. Whoo! History! I also bought this appropriately titled book from the book cart today to commemorate this. I also have an awesome friend who hung out for 2 extra minutes to take this picture, even though it was crazy snowing...since it was the start of the blizzard. Guys, it's snowing horizontally. Havin' a friend who's down is awesome...

I really can't stay...

Look and see if there's a letter in your bag for me

I got letters! That included an update on Becca, and stickers and other stuff for Valentine's Day from my aunt! Hooray!

The Irish washwoman hasn't an equal...
Who loves having a washer and dryer in her apartment so she can do all of her laundry without having to put on real clothes to wash EVERYTHING I OWN? This guy.

Exactly who we are is just enough.
Because I'm awesome, I left my camera at home for the only time I stepped outside of my apartment today. Julie and I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. In 3D. It was pretty awesome. C.S. Lewis is my literary boyfriend, so it was a story I love, and it was less disappointing than The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, so win, all around. Especially because I got to go with Julie, who's pretty awesome.

I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall...
I work at a place where for the sake of a joke, someone will make you and eye patch. I rocked that look. Just sayin'.

Because a cat's the only cat, who knows where it's at

While on the way to a seminar, Julie and I stopped at McDonald's, and I saw this magazine rack...I get the local paper, McDonald's, but do you really need 5 issues of Cat Fancy to offer to your customers who need something to read?

Slow dancing in a burning room...
The haze is not a bad flash, or busted camera. It's the smoke...from the chicken that I was making. That turned into Cajun chicken, and by that I mean blackened chicken. But in the end, it was good! Which is why picture part two is...

Let me see your one, two step...
These are both sets of my footprints. One walking to my car for work, one walking in from my car from work. There are no other footsteps disturbing my solitary walk...I don't know why this made me happy today, it just did. It's nice having my own parking space that no one else uses...ever. I missed that when I was living in Urbana...also at my parent's house...

I could while away the hours...
Saturday, I went to the second Trivia night hosted by the Central Music department. It was just as much fun this year. As always, it's nice to see Tonia, play some trivia, eat some classic fundraiser food (mostaccioli, salad, cake), and for an awesome thing-a high school music program! Where would I be without one?

How do I feel by the end of the day?
Frankee, Julie, and I went for coffee and dinner tonight. We went to this place near campus, it felt very college-y...then Mexican food! Near my place! It was pretty good.

Pink, brown, yellow, orange, and blue...
I love to see what my kids draw, how they perceive things. Even though they forget to give their people bodies, they're always doing a million things, even in one picture. The imaginations and the ideas that my kids have just make me smile, every day. How the tallest person in their drawing can actually be the shortest person in their family, how they can be at the park, when they're just surrounded by what appears to be just squiggles, or actually, what they meant, was Chuck E. Cheese's, not the park! I wish some of them could find the words to tell me what they're drawing, but then again, I guess that's my part of the bargain...they bring the raw material, and I bring the knowledge of tools to help them tell the world what they're up to...

But I can see no need to rush on...

Those who've seen us know that not a thing could come between us...
Not too much can make me smile like the looks my sister gives me when she doesn't want me to take her picture.
